I don't believe I can put into words how amazing this last week was... I've already been so incredibly lucky with some of the opportunities I've had on this internship, but this has honestly blown all my expectations out of the water and has hands down been one of the most insightful, crazy, experiences of my life.

Unexpectedly, Leigh asked if I wanted to assist him on yet another shoot for MTV, but this Spain. Well, obviously I bit his hand off at the offer! There was no way in hell I was saying no. We both flew out on Wednesday, along with the MTV gang (Julia, Millie and Charlie) to Malaga and hit the road till we reached Marbella to the South West of Mainland Spain.

The shoot itself was for the press coverage of an upcoming reality TV show that will be airing next January or February and was based in this Villa in the hills that you could only ever dream of living in. Shooting started early the next day and as Leigh's assistant, it was my job to have all his kit set up and ready to go. This included a 5ft Profoto Softbox, a reflector, the Canon 5Ds and a MacBook Pro featuring Capture One. It was then up to me to watch every shot coming through the camera, making sure they were all in focus and exposed perfectly as we couldn't afford to make any mistakes, otherwise we could have affected the show's schedule as everyday equalled in one episode! Luckily, everything went as smoothly as it could and we were finished within 2 days. The trip itself was also a real insight into the world of reality TV and opened my eyes to everything that goes on behind the scenes. I'm telling you, you'd be surprised at how many people work on a production like this! Overall though, I had such an amazing time and met some truly brilliant characters.

Cheers to the MTV gang for making me feel so welcome and a MASSIVE thank you to Leigh for asking me to come along and for letting me use this little test snap below.

WEEK 25 - 16/08/2017

Well, the last few weeks have been absolutely insane for me, but I'm afraid the excitement has come to an end. Within my last few days in London I managed to sneak in a trip to the Tate Modern to see the current Exhibition of the Photographer Wolfgang Tillman before ending it all with a trip to the O2 Arena to see the one and only Bruno Mars perform; that guy never fails to impress.

I'm now back at University and basically tackling Deadline Week as best as I can. This involves my finalised shoots, sketchbook work and a lovely 1000 word critical review. By now I'm usually pulling out my hair, wondering if I'll be able to make a successful project out of my outcomes, but I'm glad to say I'm not really stressing this time round, well not as much as I usually would (clearly I've jinxed myself now). It's scary to think however that this is my last proper deadline of Second Year...time seems to be going far too fast down here and it's really scary. The real world is upon me!

WEEK 9 - 26/04/2017
